• Jess Ullom began Hawks and Doves in 2014.  Her interest in sewing and crafting began at a young age when her Grandmother, Inez, taught her how to sew. A deep love for vintage textiles and an insatiable desire to hunt for those textiles left her with quite the collection. These depression era feed sacks, Civil War era overshot fabric, and WWII era Army canvases became the first collection of H+D bags. As Jess expanded her skills and as the business grew, she crafted what is now the H+D shop •
